Our Mission

We share the Great Commission mandate that Jesus gave to all believers in Matthew 28:19-20:

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

This is God’s universal mission given to every church.  Northlake Christian Church is determined to impact the community in which we live by making disciples for Jesus Christ, baptizing, and teaching them the commandments of God.

Our Vision

Northlake exists to …  Glorify God by Growing in Christ, Loving each other,
and Reaching our community.
(John 15)

Growing In Christ:  Through the leadership of the Holy Spirit we will build up believers in their faith to have God-centered devotion in prayer, study & application of God’s Word.  The fruit of teaching, study, and devotion to God and His Word will not be for “head knowledge” but for life change fully dependent on His strength.  Our dream is 100% participation of the believers that attend Northlake in their God-ordained role in accomplishing His mission in the church at Northlake, the community of Bothell, and other parts of the world. (John 15:1-11)

Loving Each Other:  We believe that God calls us to love each other in our church body, and that this will be the sign to our community that we are followers of Jesus Christ.  We want to be a church of groups of people who are growing in their love and care for each other in everything that we do.  We will provide a variety of ministry and training opportunities, as well as practical evangelism training in an effort to love each other through acts of service and the sharing of God’s love.  (John 15:12-17)

Reaching Our Community:  We will become “Other-focused” in sharing the gift and message of Jesus Christ.  We will walk out of our church doors and into the community and not wait for the community to come to the church.  We will serve the non-believers in our community and other parts of the world in their areas of need as God gives us influence.  Our dream is that the majority of the non-believing community that surrounds Northlake will view the people of our church as an integral part, and service to, our local community through which we will have opportunity to witness by deed and word the good news of Jesus Christ. (John 15:18-27)

This is where we believe God is directing us to serve you, and for you as part of this congregation to serve our community.  We invite your comments.
